In the 7thth minute of the game Rodolfo Austin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Matancilla FC's Nicolas Montay was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 18th match minute, Azul FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aldo Bastian to maneuver through the defense. When Rodolfo Austin came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Azul FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rodolfo Austin couldn't finish the play. 22 minutes into the match, Azul FC's Rodolfo Austin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nicolas Montay narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Matancilla FC's Nicolas Montay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodolfo Austin in the 26th minute of play. In the 28th minute Adolfo Niguel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tolek Skonieczny saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 30th minute, Pastor Salomon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Matancilla FC's Nicolas Montay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodolfo Austin in the 31st minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rolando Escobar during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Nicolas Montay made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when German Gaitan sent off a good shot on target. If Bartolo Oton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nicolas Montay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodolfo Austin in the 44th minute of the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marco Chago to make the kick off. If Bartolo Oton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marco Chago received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Tolek Skonieczny tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nicolas Montay stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rodolfo Austin's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. During the 63rd minute of the match Rolando Escobar completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Rolando Escobar a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Rolando Escobar hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Rodolfo Austin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Nicolas Montay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Azul FC fully deserved thier win.
