Bonifacio Bazkoare could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Tolek Skonieczny made a huge save. If Bonifacio Bazkoare had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Evelio Vidal charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Evelio Vidal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Azul FC's Evelio Vidal got a free kick in the 37th minute. Azul FC's Tolek Skonieczny played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augusto Santana in the 41st minute of play. 47 minutes into the game, Efrain Berbiz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CSyD Estrella de Boedo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Azul FC the free kick. After 47 played minutes CSyD Estrella de Boedo got a freekick which was hit by Efrain Berbiz. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Augusto Santana to strike the kick off in the second half. Efrain Fidensio hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Rodolfo Austin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Prudencio Manny read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. Leonides Lucian fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Prudencio Manny having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Rodolfo Austin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Azul FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rodolfo Austin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Prudencio Manny breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rodolfo Austin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Prudencio Manny tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 77 minutes into the match, Bartolo Oton had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Prudencio Manny. CSyD Estrella de Boedo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bartolo Oton was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After 82 played minutes, CSyD Estrella de Boedo's Maximo Txanton shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tolek Skonieczny came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in CSyD Estrella de Boedo reached it. 85 minutes into the match, CSyD Estrella de Boedo's goal looked a bit too open when Rodolfo Austin came free, but Prudencio Manny reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. CSyD Estrella de Boedo's Prudencio Manny played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodolfo Austin in the 87th minute of play. Prudencio Manny was a little too slow when Aldo Bastian got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 89th minute. The score was now 1-2. The Azul FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Azul FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
