Anselmo Paskal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Victorio Efraim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 33rd minute Anselmo Paskal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victorio Efraim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 40 minutes into the game, Barrancas FC's Norberto Ler nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gaston Ritchie made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Anselmo Paskal was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Norberto Ler managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barrancas FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Norberto Ler was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gaston Ritchie breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 59th minute, Norberto Ler fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Gaston Ritchie, passed just outside the right post. If Jairo Llope had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Talacasto FC's Anselmo Paskal in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Ernesto Gombal helped the player get up and apologised. Ernesto Gombal kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. 76 minutes into the match, Talacasto FC's goal looked a bit too open when Norberto Ler came free, but Gaston Ritchie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
