A collision led to Celta getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Eliseo Beila hit a great ball. Fulgencio Montrel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eduardo Jakobe stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fulgencio Montrel's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. If Marcos Mero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eliseo Beila got his second yellow card in the match during the 21st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Catúa's Fulgencio Montrel got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marcos Mero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marcos Mero might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eduardo Jakobe. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marcos Mero ran back to his position shaking his head. If Fulgencio Montrel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 36 minutes into the game, Catúa's Fulgencio Montrel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eduardo Jakobe made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Eduardo Jakobe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fulgencio Montrel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcos Mero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eduardo Jakobe having to interfere. Hilario Luix sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Raimundo Balesio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpected shot in the 52nd minute by Marcos Mero got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Marcos Mero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eduardo Jakobe having to interfere. Fulgencio Montrel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 58th minute, Roman Goizeder hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 62 minutes into the match, Celta's goal looked a bit too open when Fulgencio Montrel came free, but Eduardo Jakobe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 63rd minute, Hilario Luix hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Celta's Hilario Luix suffered a sore thigh after 68 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 68 minutes into the game, Nicanor Checa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Eduardo Jakobe made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fulgencio Montrel in the 79th minute. Celta's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Fulgencio Montrel 84 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-2. Eduardo Jakobe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fulgencio Montrel in the 89th minute of the match. 95 minutes into the match, Celta's goal looked a bit too open when Fulgencio Montrel came free, but Eduardo Jakobe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Celta fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Catúa were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
