Júlio Peres started the match with the kick off. Evaristo Gervaso kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 8 minutes, Júlio Peres put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Remigio Iban. The supporters of CAVS booed when La Gagoneta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cipriano Pietro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Evaristo Gervaso hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Júlio Peres struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Remigio Iban didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for La Gagoneta. Rodrigo Urtzi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remigio Iban having to interfere. Júlio Peres might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Remigio Iban. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Júlio Peres ran back to his position shaking his head. After 28 played minutes CAVS got a freekick which was hit by Adrian Lico. If Júlio Peres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 34th minute, Júlio Peres made a precise shot to the right of Remigio Iban. CAVS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. In the 43rd minute, La Gagoneta's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Reynaldo Oriol fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Apolo Burutzagi in the 43rd minute of play forced La Gagoneta's goalkeeper Bonifacio Franco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in CAVS's zone, Hillar Pabin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Remigio Iban came out of the goal and Hillar Pabin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Apolo Burutzagi was the one to do the kick off. After 59th play minutes Júlio Peres shot 0-3, a short shot which went by Remigio Iban and just under the crossbar into goal. After having played for 63 minutes, Hillar Pabin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. La Gagoneta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hillar Pabin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 74 minutes into the game, Júlio Peres cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Remigio Iban was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodrigo Urtzi in the 81st minute of play forced CAVS's goalkeeper Remigio Iban to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With his leg Remigio Iban managed to avoid a goal in the 85thth minute, when La Gagoneta's Júlio Peres fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Hillar Pabin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remigio Iban having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. La Gagoneta walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
