When Moises Charro fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vela's protests and gave Moises Charro a yellow card for diving instead. In the 13th match minute, Vela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Moises Charro to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Generoso Palos in the 16th minute of play forced Fela Futbol Club's goalkeeper Serafin Gaufred to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 18 minutes into the match, Vela's goalkeeper Lázaro Cordearo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arnulfo Petrigai. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Generoso Palos during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Generoso Palos hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. A collision led to Fela Futbol Club getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Jacobo Tipi hit a great ball. 30 minutes into the match, Fela Futbol Club's goal looked a bit too open when Generoso Palos came free, but Serafin Gaufred reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Serafin Gaufred made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Venancio Paulin in the 35th minute of play. Serafin Gaufred stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Generoso Palos's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. Moises Charro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Serafin Gaufred tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Fela Futbol Club's zone, Gaston Alonso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Serafin Gaufred came out of the goal and Gaston Alonso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Fela Futbol Club players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Vela were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marcelino Rufo was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th minute, Generoso Palos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Serafin Gaufred took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Venancio Paulin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Generoso Palos came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Vela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Generoso Palos couldn't finish the play. Arnulfo Petrigai received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Lázaro Cordearo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 68 minutes of play, Vela's Generoso Palos made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Serafin Gaufred was left in no man's land by his defense there! A hard shot 72 in the game by Generoso Palos from a close distance when the talented Serafin Gaufred managed to make a qualified save. Fela Futbol Club's players were relieved. When the match had gone on for 74 minutes, Ramiro Romero put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Serafin Gaufred. 79 minutes into the match, Fela Futbol Club's goalkeeper Serafin Gaufred had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Generoso Palos. Serafin Gaufred made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Generoso Palos sent off a good shot on target. Venancio Paulin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serafin Gaufred having to interfere. In the 95th match minute, Vela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricardo Rami to maneuver through the defense. In the 97th minute of the match Ignacio Herena sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lázaro Cordearo skillfully saved the ball. When the match was over Vela could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Fela Futbol Club throughout the match.
