Gervasio Marques didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sixto Terciero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sixto Terciero in the 8thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Eloy Grabiel, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Hector Taurino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gervasio Marques, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Hector Taurino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gervasio Marques in the 19th minute of the match. After taking down the ball on Libertad's corner Anier Acuña fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Hector Taurino quite easily take care of the ball. After 23 minutes, Igor Cresenciano made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Libertad's Eloy Grabiel tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 28 minutes into the game, Dionisio Laurendi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Hector Taurino was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Dionisio Laurendi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. Hector Taurino was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 37th match minute, Libertad was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sixto Brun to maneuver through the defense. If Gervasio Marques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Sao Caetano's zone, Dionisio Laurendi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hector Taurino came out of the goal and Dionisio Laurendi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The wind increased when Sixto Terciero made the kick off in the second half. Eloy Grabiel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Igor Cresenciano's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. Sixto Terciero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 60 minutes into the match, Libertad's goal looked a bit too open when Sixto Terciero came free, but Eloy Grabiel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eloy Grabiel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sixto Terciero in the 61st minute of play. In the 69th minute, Sixto Terciero ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eloy Grabiel was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. When Sixto Brun fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Libertad's protests and gave Sixto Brun a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Libertad getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Sixto Brun hit a great ball. Amadeo Cordarrol struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Eloy Grabiel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sao Caetano. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Sixto Terciero managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sao Caetano's supporters rose to their feet, but Sixto Terciero was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eloy Grabiel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 85 minutes, Eulalio Qwinton mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Libertad and the Sao Caetano players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 85th match minute, Libertad was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eulalio Qwinton to maneuver through the defense. 86 minutes into the match, Sao Caetano's Roman Enetz broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Libertad walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
