A beautiful save bye Iturraspe's goalie prevented a goal. Romulo Jaunzuria stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Francisco Jakobe's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. Laureano Pepillo took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Romulo Jaunzuria. Romulo Jaunzuria dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 17th minute, Laureano Pepillo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Romulo Jaunzuria came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Medrano's Laureano Pepillo. But to his dismay, Laureano Pepillo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisco Jakobe in the 23rd minute of play forced Iturraspe's goalkeeper Romulo Jaunzuria to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 23 minutes into the match, Francisco Jakobe had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Romulo Jaunzuria. Iturraspe's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Francisco Jakobe was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. If Sergio Moise had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Danilo Estevez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rosendo Rufo in the 32nd minute. A collision led to Iturraspe getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Augusto Corderall hit a great ball. Astor Luzea was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 35th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Laureano Pepillo in the 42nd minute of play forced Iturraspe's goalkeeper Romulo Jaunzuria to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 42 played minutes Iturraspe got a freekick which was hit by Adan Quilino. Augusto Corderall kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Francisco Jakobe to make the kick off. With his leg Romulo Jaunzuria managed to avoid a goal in the 51stth minute, when Medrano's Laureano Pepillo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 54 minutes into the match, Iturraspe's goal looked a bit too open when Francisco Jakobe came free, but Romulo Jaunzuria reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Medrano's supporters crossed their fingers, but Laureano Pepillo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Francisco Jakobe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romulo Jaunzuria having to interfere. Laureano Pepillo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Romulo Jaunzuria tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Romulo Jaunzuria made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Jakobe in the 81st minute of play. In the 85thth minute of the game Francisco Jakobe who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Iturraspe's Romulo Jaunzuria was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Francisco Jakobe during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Danilo Estevez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sergio Moise went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-6 was the resulting score. Laureano Pepillo struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Romulo Jaunzuria didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Medrano. Laureano Pepillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match was over Medrano could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Iturraspe throughout the match.
