The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Nunez Lucila came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Club Cultural Gerli fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nunez Lucila couldn't finish the play. Cristian Vito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teodosio Gora having to interfere. Delmar Gentza's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 22ndth minute, Teodosio Gora skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Romulo Tancredo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ciénega's supporters rose to their feet, but Romulo Tancredo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Teodosio Gora breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Americo Mendiko kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Delmar Gentza who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 38thth minute tested the skills of Teodosio Gora when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Delmar Gentza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cristian Vito to make the kick off. Delmar Gentza hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Reynaldo Ramos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Luisito Normando tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 62nd minute, Delmar Gentza left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ciénega fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. In the 65thth minute of the game Cristian Vito who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Cultural Gerli's Teodosio Gora was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 68 minutes into the game, Delmar Gentza cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Teodosio Gora was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 74 minutes into the match, Cristian Vito had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Teodosio Gora. Club Cultural Gerli's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristian Vito was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. In the 76th minute Delmar Gentza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodosio Gora saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 82 minutes into the match, Ciénega's Delmar Gentza sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Teodosio Gora narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In a very dangerous position, a player in Club Cultural Gerli fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 83rd minute. Penalty! The referee gave Ciénega a penalty, 84 minutes into the game.
