The supporters of Acevedo booed when Club Cultural Gerli was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ruben Raitin didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Ivan Firmin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivan Firmin in the 14th minute of play forced Club Cultural Gerli's goalkeeper Teodosio Gora to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 15 minutes into the match, Maximo Beltza notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Club Cultural Gerli's Teodosio Gora. Acevedo's Silvano Caetano got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Ivan Firmin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nunez Lucila sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nunez Lucila fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Laureano Phelipe having to interfere. After 37 played minutes Acevedo got a freekick which was hit by Silvano Salbatore. Laureano Phelipe made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Reynaldo Ramos sent off a good shot on target. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nunez Lucila made a kick off. Damian Llanos tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Laureano Phelipe. An unnecessary self made goal, 3-1 in the 52nd minute. In the 54th minute, Ruben Raitin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Reynaldo Ramos in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Laureano Phelipe saved Acevedo from getting behind. 61 minutes into the match, Club Cultural Gerli's Reynaldo Ramos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Laureano Phelipe narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 67th minute, Damian Llanos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Reynaldo Ramos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Laureano Phelipe was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. After having played for 73 minutes, Maximo Beltza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Acevedo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maximo Beltza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ivan Firmin kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. When Reynaldo Ramos came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Club Cultural Gerli fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reynaldo Ramos couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Acevedo defense, Nunez Lucila kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Laureano Phelipe. The Acevedo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Laureano Phelipe should have stopped the shot. 86 minutes into the match, Acevedo's goal looked a bit too open when Nunez Lucila came free, but Laureano Phelipe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Laureano Phelipe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reynaldo Ramos in the 87th minute of the match. In the 93rd minute Ivan Firmin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodosio Gora saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
