In the 11th minute Eliseo Abar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodosio Gora saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 12 minutes into the match, Club Cultural Gerli's goal looked a bit too open when Eliseo Abar came free, but Teodosio Gora reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Reynaldo Ramos who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 14thth minute tested the skills of Luciano Navarro when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The attack was good, but when Salvador Niva in the 17th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. In the 21st match minute, Club Cultural Gerli was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ruben Raitin to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Figueroa AFC getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Cayetano Bautista hit a great ball. 25 minutes into the match, Club Cultural Gerli's Jimeno Uzuri sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luciano Navarro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Luciano Navarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reynaldo Ramos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Reynaldo Ramos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luciano Navarro having to make a save. If Salvador Niva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luciano Navarro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reynaldo Ramos in the 71st minute of the match. 74 minutes into the match, Figueroa AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Nunez Lucila came free, but Luciano Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nunez Lucila struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Luciano Navarro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Cultural Gerli. Nunez Lucila sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Americo Mendiko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luciano Navarro having to interfere. The referee ignored Club Cultural Gerli's protests and gave Ruben Raitin a yellow card for diving instead. The Club Cultural Gerli fans cheered their team off the field, for while Figueroa AFC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
