The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Albino Firme struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Hermengildo Elequemedo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guerrero. When Albino Firme came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Guerrero fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Albino Firme couldn't finish the play. 12 minutes into the match, Ben-Hur de Rafaela's goal looked a bit too open when Joaquin Pirmin came free, but Hermengildo Elequemedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jeremias Dominix came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Ben-Hur de Rafaela's Benedicto Reynardo. But to his dismay, Benedicto Reynardo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Albino Firme managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guerrero's supporters rose to their feet, but Albino Firme was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hermengildo Elequemedo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Guerrero's Jeremias Dominix proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Guerrero from getting a goal against them. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ben-Hur de Rafaela's goalkeeper Hermengildo Elequemedo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 38 minutes into the match, Albino Firme notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Ben-Hur de Rafaela's Hermengildo Elequemedo. Hermengildo Elequemedo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Guerrero getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Fabian Damario hit a great ball. Ben-Hur de Rafaela's Benedicto Reynardo got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half Guerrero were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Patricio Lizardi to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Joaquin Pirmin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guerrero's supporters rose to their feet, but Joaquin Pirmin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hermengildo Elequemedo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marcelo Lesardo's late challenge caught a Ben-Hur de Rafaela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcelo Lesardo helped the player get up and apologised. Jeremias Dominix stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Patricio Lizardi's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. Jeremias Dominix made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patricio Lizardi in the 58th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Patricio Lizardi in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jeremias Dominix saved Guerrero from getting behind. After some careless play in the Guerrero defense, Benedicto Reynardo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jeremias Dominix. The Guerrero fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jeremias Dominix should have stopped the shot. After having played for 74 minutes, Patricio Lizardi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ben-Hur de Rafaela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Patricio Lizardi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 82 minutes into the game, Guerrero's Albino Firme nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hermengildo Elequemedo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-4. Benedicto Reynardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Jeremias Dominix tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Benedicto Reynardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Guerrero players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
