The audience thought a goal was coming when Zacarias Jurdan got free with Vinicio Darien in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 6 minutes into the match, Zacarias Jurdan notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Canque AFC's Vinicio Darien. Vinicio Darien was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 17th minute Simon Figueroa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vinicio Darien saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Simon Figueroa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Vinicio Darien tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 23rd minute of the game. One of Espíritus Chocarreros:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Canque AFC:s goal. After having played for 30 minutes, Simon Figueroa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Espíritus Chocarreros's supporters crossed their fingers, but Simon Figueroa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Zacarias Jurdan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vinicio Darien read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. Jose Iago made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Honorato Eduino in the 36th minute of play. In the 42nd minute, Alejandro Bernat ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jose Iago was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Simon Figueroa in the 47th minute of play forced Canque AFC's goalkeeper Vinicio Darien to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Simon Figueroa to make the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Simon Figueroa in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vinicio Darien saved Canque AFC from getting behind. Honorato Eduino succeeded in the game's 60th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-2. Vinicio Darien didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Simon Figueroa went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Zacarias Jurdan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vinicio Darien read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. 69 minutes into the game, Espíritus Chocarreros's Zacarias Jurdan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vinicio Darien made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. In the 74th minute, Zacarias Jurdan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Espíritus Chocarreros fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. Jose Iago made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Honorato Eduino in the 77th minute of play. Vinicio Darien came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Espíritus Chocarreros's Zacarias Jurdan. But to his dismay, Zacarias Jurdan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-2. Zacarias Jurdan might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vinicio Darien. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zacarias Jurdan ran back to his position shaking his head. Evelio Marcones hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Vinicio Darien showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Simon Figueroa, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. Espíritus Chocarreros's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
