After a defensive mix-up in La Docta's zone, Adrian Haimar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benicio Justin came out of the goal and Adrian Haimar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 17th minute Cecilio Jaen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jaroslaw Kaider saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benicio Justin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Adrian Haimar went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Grasshopper FC's David Arias got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Adrian Haimar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benicio Justin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. David Arias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 50th minute there was a penalty for Grasshopper FC. Federico Precioso stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Benicio Justin. 1-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cecilio Jaen to strike the kick off in the second half. David Arias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benicio Justin having to interfere. In the 66th match minute, La Docta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgard Frances to maneuver through the defense. David Arias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eduardo Gergori's late challenge caught a La Docta's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. David Arias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Benicio Justin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling David Arias in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benicio Justin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Benigno Txeru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. David Arias might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benicio Justin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. David Arias ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Grasshopper FC booed when La Docta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Samuel Oliverio didn't get a good kick on the ball. 93 minutes into the match, Grasshopper FC's Federico Precioso broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After a rather tough play, La Docta's Edgard Frances got a free kick in the 94th minute. Adrian Haimar in the 95thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Benicio Justin, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Adrian Haimar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 99th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
