When Grasshopper FC's David Arias in the 5th minute got a chance for a shot 5th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye C.A. Toro's goalie prevented a goal. C.A. Toro's Natalio Iago played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Arias in the 7th minute of play. After 9 minutes, Federico Precioso mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Grasshopper FC and the C.A. Toro players grew even worse after the yellow card. Federico Precioso hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Adrian Haimar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 19 minutes, Carolo Txatxu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. C.A. Toro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carolo Txatxu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jaroslaw Kaider came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by C.A. Toro's Raul Socorro. But to his dismay, Raul Socorro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. If Adrian Haimar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. David Arias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 30th minute, Rafael Iraunkor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Adrian Haimar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adrian Haimar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Natalio Iago made a huge save. In the 43rd match minute, Grasshopper FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edelmiro Soter to maneuver through the defense. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Carolo Txatxu made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to C.A. Toro getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Rigoberto Cristos hit a great ball. Grasshopper FC's Jaroslaw Kaider played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carolo Txatxu in the 68th minute of play. In the 71st minute, Adrian Haimar made a precise shot to the right of Natalio Iago. C.A. Toro's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Adrian Haimar during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Adrian Haimar hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Raul Socorro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Jaroslaw Kaider tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Matias Mero hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Natalio Iago took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adrian Haimar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
