After 4 played minutes Phoenix got a freekick which was hit by Alejo Colas. After a rather tough play, Fili F.C.'s Iker Tabb got a free kick in the 5th minute. Aquiles Chayo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gervasio Nahia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Anibal Sandalio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcelo Oso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benjamin Geleberto in the 18th minute of the match. Phoenix's Marcelo Oso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iker Tabb in the 20th minute of play. Iker Tabb charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Iker Tabb the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 22nd match minute, Fili F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iker Tabb to maneuver through the defense. If Gervasio Nahia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Orlando Osmundo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gervasio Nahia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Leo Roano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Alejo Colas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Marcelo Oso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Benjamin Geleberto in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcelo Oso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gervasio Nahia struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Anibal Sandalio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Phoenix. Anibal Sandalio came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by Phoenix's Gervasio Nahia. But to his dismay, Gervasio Nahia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. A collision led to Fili F.C. getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Iker Tabb hit a great ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Orlando Osmundo to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Orlando Osmundo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Anibal Sandalio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 56 minutes, Gervasio Nahia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Phoenix's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gervasio Nahia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Phoenix's Gervasio Nahia got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Alejo Colas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alejo Colas in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Anibal Sandalio saved Fili F.C. from getting behind.
