The referee showed Americo Erruki the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 4 played minutes Instituto CBA got a freekick which was hit by Americo Erruki. Jonatan Efraim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 7th minute, Marcos Juvenal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Que No Decaiga's Denis Peio in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Jeremias Perico hit a great ball. In the 16th minute, Americo Erruki hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Que No Decaiga booed when Instituto CBA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Flavio Firmo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lisandro Roldan was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 19th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Instituto CBA's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Marcos Juvenal kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jonatan Efraim in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Enrique Azibar saved Instituto CBA from getting behind. Flavio Lander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Jonatan Efraim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Instituto CBA's Generoso Bakar got a free kick in the 40th minute. Jonatan Efraim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Denis Peio made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Denis Peio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Que No Decaiga's supporters rose to their feet, but Denis Peio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Enrique Azibar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 55 minutes into the match, Cristo Gaitano notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Que No Decaiga's Erubiel Iturri. Erubiel Iturri was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Que No Decaiga getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Cecilio Lohitzun hit a great ball. Que No Decaiga's Jeremias Perico got his second yellow card of the match in the 66th minute. The referee ordered Jeremias Perico off the ground. Que No Decaiga's Erubiel Iturri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnulfo Emesto in the 77th minute of play. Denis Peio who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 80thth minute tested the skills of Enrique Azibar when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristo Gaitano in the 83rd minute of play forced Que No Decaiga's goalkeeper Erubiel Iturri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristo Gaitano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Erubiel Iturri read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. Instituto CBA's Cristo Gaitano got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. For all the effort they put into the match, the Que No Decaiga players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Instituto CBA.
