In the 10th minute Arnulfo Emesto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erubiel Iturri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 12 minutes into the match, Arnulfo Emesto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Erubiel Iturri. Que No Decaiga's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arnulfo Emesto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 24th minute, Que No Decaiga's Denis Peio dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. Cristo Gaitano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erubiel Iturri having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Denis Peio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Enrique Azibar was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. Jeremias Perico recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Denis Peio to strike the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 51 minutes, Flavio Firmo took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Erubiel Iturri to make any attempt to save it. After 55 played minutes Que No Decaiga got a freekick which was hit by Octavio Gaitano. Cristo Gaitano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jonatan Efraim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enrique Azibar having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Denis Peio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Enrique Azibar was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. If Denis Peio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Cristo Gaitano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Arnulfo Emesto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erubiel Iturri having to interfere. After having played for 82 minutes, Jonatan Efraim managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Que No Decaiga's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jonatan Efraim was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Jonatan Efraim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Que No Decaiga's Jeremias Perico got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Instituto CBA eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
