The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Felipe Ospetsu during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Dante Calvet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 16th minute Dante Calvet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eduardo Mingo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dante Calvet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eduardo Mingo having to interfere. After a rather tough play, RIVER's Celedonio Cordeal got a free kick in the 24th minute. If Dante Calvet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Saverio Tiadoro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Juventud Liberal's supporters rose to their feet, but Saverio Tiadoro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eduardo Mingo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. RIVER's defense didn't have a chance, in the 36th minute, when Dante Calvet scored to the left of an out of position Eduardo Mingo, making the score, 2-0. In the 40th minute, Dante Calvet made a precise shot to the right of Eduardo Mingo. RIVER's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. When Dante Calvet came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Juventud Liberal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dante Calvet couldn't finish the play. Dario Ellande recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Dante Calvet made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 54 minutes, Dante Calvet managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Juventud Liberal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dante Calvet was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 56 minutes into the match, Rogelio Peli notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of RIVER's Eduardo Mingo. Eduardo Mingo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Osvaldo Eron's late challenge caught a Juventud Liberal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Osvaldo Eron helped the player get up and apologised. In the 59th minute, Osvaldo Eron hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 62 minutes into the game, Juventud Liberal's Dante Calvet nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eduardo Mingo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. Epifanio Javiero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Nereo Ereinotz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dante Calvet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eduardo Mingo having to interfere. 73 minutes into the match, Dante Calvet had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eduardo Mingo. RIVER's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dante Calvet was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. Dante Calvet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eduardo Mingo having to interfere. Jorge Arnalt struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Eduardo Mingo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Juventud Liberal. In the 80th minute Dante Calvet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eduardo Mingo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Dante Calvet's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eduardo Mingo was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. Rodrigo Mikelats fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eduardo Mingo having to interfere. The Juventud Liberal fans' excitement grew in the 89th match minute when Juventud Liberal's Dante Calvet looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 7-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Rodrigo Mikelats took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 94th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Eduardo Mingo. RIVER's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Dante Calvet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Juventud Liberal fully deserved thier win.
