With an extended leg and a bit of luck Maximo Vincente prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Severino Celipe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jaime Rayman stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Severino Celipe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 67th minute Severino Celipe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximo Vincente saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Constantino Garoa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Camilo Bautista in the 70th minute of the match. Camilo Bautista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. In the 96th minute, Braulio Ekaitz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
