In the 3rd match minute, Club Atlético Boca Junior was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bartolo Blasco to maneuver through the defense. In the 6th match minute, Angostura was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carmelo Manny to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alejandro Bernabel in the 8th minute of play forced Angostura's goalkeeper Filomeno Cortez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 10 minutes into the game, Marcelino Pudes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Leonardo Bertin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 13th minute of the match Prospero Gonzales shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Leonardo Bertin showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Alejandro Bernabel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filomeno Cortez having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Club Atlético Boca Junior's Filomeno Cortez threw himself towards the right post 17 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Alejandro Bernabel, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When Alejandro Bernabel came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Club Atlético Boca Junior fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alejandro Bernabel couldn't finish the play. 19 minutes into the match, Mateo Urtsua had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Filomeno Cortez. Angostura's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mateo Urtsua was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Angostura's goalkeeper Filomeno Cortez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Alejandro Bernabel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 27 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Boca Junior's Mateo Urtsua sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Filomeno Cortez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Alejandro Bernabel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 31st minute Carmelo Manny shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonardo Bertin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leonardo Bertin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelino Pudes, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Angostura's zone, Tomas Montez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Filomeno Cortez came out of the goal and Tomas Montez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Angostura's Filomeno Cortez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Angostura from getting a goal against them. In the 40th minute, Club Atlético Boca Junior's Ceferino Loramendi dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. Marcelino Pudes scored 2-2 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Leonardo Bertin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

The wind increased when Marcelino Pudes made the kick off in the second half. Mateo Urtsua sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alejandro Bernabel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Filomeno Cortez having to make a save. The audience was convinced that Alejandro Bernabel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Filomeno Cortez was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. Alejandro Bernabel took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Filomeno Cortez. Filomeno Cortez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-2. In the 72nd minute, Bartolo Blasco had to leave the field with a concussion. When Carmelo Manny fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Angostura's protests and gave Carmelo Manny a yellow card for diving instead. Carmelo Manny hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Esteban Galtero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aldo Vistruario fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonardo Bertin having to interfere. In the 90th minute, Carmelo Manny reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Leonardo Bertin. The goal made the score 4-3. Leonardo Bertin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelino Pudes in the 95th minute of play. Club Atlético Boca Junior's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
