DALLAS FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gualterio Seme was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 14 played minutes Racing Club got a freekick which was hit by Eloy Jakobe. In the 18th minute, Amadeo Hats hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Simon Maurino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gualterio Seme, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Racing Club defense, Gualterio Seme kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Simon Maurino. The Racing Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Simon Maurino should have stopped the shot. 35 minutes into the game, DALLAS FC's Carlos Garci nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Simon Maurino made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Racing Club's Simon Maurino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Garci in the 38th minute of play. Carlos Garci fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simon Maurino having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gualterio Seme to make the kick off. Simon Maurino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gualterio Seme in the 53rd minute of play. Carlos Garci blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Simon Maurino having to make a save. After 67 played minutes Racing Club got a freekick which was hit by Santiago Marquez. The long shot by Simon Sanson in the 69th minute really tested Simon Maurino's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. When Racing Club's Isidro Mosen in the 70th minute got a chance for a shot 70th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye DALLAS FC's goalie prevented a goal. 73 minutes into the game, Isidro Mosen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Jesus Chayo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind Racing Club's goalkeeper Simon Maurino, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 87th minute, Amancio Lugo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Carlos Garci came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the DALLAS FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlos Garci couldn't finish the play. Simon Maurino made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Carlos Garci sent off a good shot on target. Simon Maurino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gualterio Seme in the 95th minute of the match.
