Ildefonso Otoniel came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by Gimnasia CdelU's Gil Donatello. But to his dismay, Gil Donatello quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. The supporters of Ainor FC booed when Gimnasia CdelU was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teo Maria didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aquilino Neto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Roberto Efren went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. 30 minutes into the match, Gimnasia CdelU's Pablo Quentin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ildefonso Otoniel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gimnasia CdelU's Aquilino Neto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Gimnasia CdelU from getting a goal against them. After 45 minutes of play, Gimnasia CdelU's Pablo Quentin made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ildefonso Otoniel was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

Gil Donatello could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Ildefonso Otoniel made a huge save. Ainor FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 61st minute, when Pedro Mincho scored to the left of an out of position Ildefonso Otoniel, making the score, 1-4. When Danilo Hanot fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ainor FC's protests and gave Danilo Hanot a yellow card for diving instead. In the 70th minute, Danilo Hanot hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 72nd minute, Gil Donatello left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gimnasia CdelU fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-6. Gil Donatello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 79 minutes into the match, Ainor FC's goalkeeper Ildefonso Otoniel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gil Donatello. An unexpected shot in the 81st minute by Gil Donatello got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Gil Donatello recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pablo Quentin in the 86thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ildefonso Otoniel, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Pablo Quentin struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Ildefonso Otoniel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gimnasia CdelU. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ainor FC's goalkeeper Ildefonso Otoniel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gil Donatello blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ildefonso Otoniel having to make a save. When Gimnasia CdelU's Pablo Quentin in the 92nd minute got a chance for a shot 92nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
