But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Antonio Montrelle couldn't finish the play. Manuel Dolfo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Everardo Rico having to interfere. Clemente Ubarna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Artemio Gauargi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roman Abeijon, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. In the 44th minute Manuel Dolfo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Everardo Rico saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Roman Abeijon was the one to do the kick off. Manuel Dolfo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Everardo Rico tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Antonio Montrelle recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 63 minutes into the game, Lázaro Xabat was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Calamar de Saavedra's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Artrosis FC the free kick. In the 63rd minute, Lázaro Xabat hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mauro Koldobika kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. If Roman Abeijon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 70th minute, Manuel Dolfo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Everardo Rico. The goal made the score 0-1. Tomás Micael kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. 78 minutes into the game, Roman Abeijon cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Artemio Gauargi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some careless play in the Artrosis FC defense, Clemente Ubarna kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Artemio Gauargi. The Artrosis FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Artemio Gauargi should have stopped the shot. Leonardo Gorri hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. In the 89th minute, Bernardino Sarracino ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Artemio Gauargi was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. In the 94th match minute, Artrosis FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomás Micael to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clemente Ubarna in the 95th minute of play forced Artrosis FC's goalkeeper Artemio Gauargi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Calamar de Saavedra's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
