Romero FC's Juan Piorno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Genaro Chucho in the 27th minute of play. In the 29th match minute, Romero FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Santo Soin to maneuver through the defense. 34 minutes into the match, Romero FC's goal looked a bit too open when Amado Orlan came free, but Juan Piorno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Osvaldo Matthew in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eusebio Montay saved Sportivo Talarense from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Genaro Chucho in the 45th minute of play forced Romero FC's goalkeeper Juan Piorno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Osvaldo Matthew made a kick off. Saturnino Teodor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Eusebio Montay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sportivo Talarense's Eusebio Montay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osvaldo Matthew in the 61st minute of play. Osvaldo Matthew sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 70 minutes, Saturnino Teodor managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Romero FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Saturnino Teodor was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Osvaldo Matthew recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Amado Orlan's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 77thth minute, Juan Piorno skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Genaro Chucho in the 78th minute of play forced Romero FC's goalkeeper Juan Piorno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 81 played minutes Romero FC got a freekick which was hit by Zeledon Blasi. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Saturnino Teodor in the 87th managed to get into a good position. In the 89th minute, Amado Orlan fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Juan Piorno, passed just outside the right post. Juan Piorno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Genaro Chucho in the 91st minute of the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Romero FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Sportivo Talarense had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
