In the 62ndth minute of the game Isaias Aimar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Escalares AC's Jaime Salbatore was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Pastor Chorache might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over David Marques. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pastor Chorache ran back to his position shaking his head. David Marques made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Godofredo Arnalt in the 66th minute of play. After 67 played minutes Feuergeist FC got a freekick which was hit by Isaias Aimar. After a rather tough play, Escalares AC's Godofredo Arnalt got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Escalares AC's Jaime Salbatore played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Remigio Lorencio in the 74th minute of play. In the 76th minute, Dionisio Laurendi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Isaias Aimar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jaime Salbatore was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. In the 80th minute, Pastor Chorache reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of David Marques. The goal made the score 1-5. After having played for 92 minutes, Placido Cortez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Escalares AC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Placido Cortez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Escalares AC's zone, Isaias Aimar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jaime Salbatore came out of the goal and Isaias Aimar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Isaias Aimar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Escalares AC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
