Evelio Marcones received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Eduardo Nikola tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. It was Nereo Ferrando who took care of the corner kick. 32 minutes into the game, Elpidio Karlo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Javier Eleder was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Orlando Gonzalez in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Javier Eleder prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Evelio Marcones had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Haumonia getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Manuel Taurino hit a great ball. The supporters of Haumonia booed when Academia Racing Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nereo Ferrando didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 45th minute Alejo Mergildo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eduardo Nikola saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alejo Mergildo was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Academia Racing Club getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Jonatan Arias hit a great ball. In the 74th minute, Evelio Marcones ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eduardo Nikola was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. When Elpidio Karlo came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Haumonia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elpidio Karlo couldn't finish the play. After 80 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Haumonia! In the 83rd minute of the match Academia Racing Club got a corner. Haumonia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Nereo Ferrando ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Academia Racing Club's corner Mateo Cordera fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Eduardo Nikola quite easily take care of the ball. 85 minutes into the match, Haumonia's goal looked a bit too open when Alejo Mergildo came free, but Eduardo Nikola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nereo Ferrando hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Camilo Hermon missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 92 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Javier Eleder right hand side. In the 97th minute, Elpidio Karlo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Orlando Gonzalez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 100th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Javier Eleder having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Academia Racing Club fans cheered their team off the field, for while Haumonia had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
