When Efrain Hustaz came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Palominos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Efrain Hustaz couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the UnionTate defense, Efrain Hustaz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Victorio Fidencio. The UnionTate fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Victorio Fidencio should have stopped the shot. Efrain Hustaz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Victorio Fidencio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. In the 35th match minute, UnionTate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Dubardo to maneuver through the defense. 38 minutes into the match, UnionTate's goal looked a bit too open when Efrain Hustaz came free, but Victorio Fidencio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.
