Spectators: 7196 (Terracing: 5400, Seating: 1656, VIP seats: 140) Edgard Vergaray started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 3rd minute, Narciso Guter got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Adolfo Hibai took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgard Vergaray, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, LOS BOMBOS's Narciso Guter got a free kick in the 7th minute. 9 minutes into the match, LOS BOMBOS's Teobaldo Gombal sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Victorio Fidencio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Teobaldo Gombal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victorio Fidencio having to interfere. After a rather tough play, UnionTate's Miguel Sanchez got a free kick in the 15th minute. UnionTate's Victorio Fidencio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save UnionTate from getting a goal against them. Victorio Fidencio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teobaldo Gombal in the 28th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Edgard Vergaray's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Adolfo Hibai was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. LOS BOMBOS's Adolfo Hibai played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgard Vergaray in the 31st minute of play. When Teobaldo Gombal came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the LOS BOMBOS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Teobaldo Gombal couldn't finish the play. Miguel Sanchez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Teobaldo Gombal stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Victorio Fidencio came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by LOS BOMBOS's Abel Harri. But to his dismay, Abel Harri quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Carlos Ospetsu came free with the goalkeeper in the 57th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Adolfo Hibai could save by the left post. The supporters of LOS BOMBOS booed when UnionTate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Dubardo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 71st minute, Edgard Vergaray got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Carlos Ospetsu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 76 played minutes LOS BOMBOS got a freekick which was hit by Zeledon Bakar. The nice shot from Carlos Ospetsu in the 77thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Adolfo Hibai had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. A collision led to UnionTate getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Hipolito Maties hit a great ball. Edgard Vergaray might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Adolfo Hibai. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edgard Vergaray ran back to his position shaking his head. Adolfo Hibai made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgard Vergaray in the 88th minute of play. UnionTate's Edgard Vergaray got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Victorio Fidencio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teobaldo Gombal in the 91st minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The LOS BOMBOS fans cheered their team off the field, for while UnionTate had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
