Clodoveo Bertran struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Modesto Kimetz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vikingos FC. Maximino Uzuri recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Palomo FC's Mauro Guipuzkoa got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Palomo FC's Modesto Kimetz got control of the ball when Clodoveo Bertran tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 28th minute of the match Alonzo Cordaryal shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Karl-Magnus Vibjörnsson showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Karl-Magnus Vibjörnsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Mantzio, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. In the 35th minute Maximino Uzuri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Modesto Kimetz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vikingos FC were awarded a corner in the 36th minute after Palomo FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Romeo Matia took the corner. After some careless play in the Vikingos FC defense, Daniel Mantzio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Karl-Magnus Vibjörnsson. The Vikingos FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Karl-Magnus Vibjörnsson should have stopped the shot. If Mauro Guipuzkoa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Palomo FC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Daniel Mantzio made the kick off in the second half. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 57th minute of the game. One of Palomo FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Vikingos FC:s goal. Modesto Kimetz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maximino Uzuri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 66th minute, Martin Furtado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Martin Furtado's late challenge caught a Vikingos FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Martin Furtado helped the player get up and apologised. Vikingos FC's Clodoveo Bertran got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mauro Guipuzkoa succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-3 in the 98th playminute. Palomo FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
