Anier Nastasio hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. In the 11th minute Felipe Mercurio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mariano Semeno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 15 played minutes Gavilandia got a freekick which was hit by Paulo Goi. In the 16th minute of the match Horacio Tipi sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mariano Semeno skillfully saved the ball. 18 minutes into the game, Kitty Club's Felipe Mercurio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mariano Semeno made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Paulino Pudes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gavilandia's Teodosio Sabino got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Teodosio Sabino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Anier Nastasio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Felipe Mercurio in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mariano Semeno saved Gavilandia from getting behind. When Enrique Gudesteo came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Kitty Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Enrique Gudesteo couldn't finish the play. 40 minutes into the match, Kitty Club's Alonzo Belo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mariano Semeno narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Kitty Club's zone, Paulino Pudes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Victoriano Montrell came out of the goal and Paulino Pudes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Felipe Mercurio to strike the kick off in the second half. Paulino Pudes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Gavilandia's Aureliano Domiku got a free kick in the 58th minute. After having played for 60 minutes, Tobias Ladio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gavilandia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tobias Ladio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After having played for 73 minutes, Alonzo Belo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mariano Semeno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felipe Mercurio in the 75th minute of play. Kitty Club's Victoriano Montrell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teodosio Sabino in the 82nd minute of play. Felipe Mercurio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mariano Semeno having to interfere. Mariano Semeno made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Alonzo Belo sent off a good shot on target. After 94 played minutes Gavilandia got a freekick which was hit by Tobias Ladio. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Kitty Club had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
