Spectators: 7194 (Terracing: 5397, Seating: 1654, VIP seats: 143) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Santos Rafe started the match with the kick off. Wilfredo Checa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baltasar Dolcet in the 8th minute of the match. 16 minutes into the match, Baltasar Dolcet dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Wilfredo Checa, 1-0. A collision led to Alvariño AFC getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Ildefonso Lalla hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Merengue's zone, Damian Gaspard stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nereo Ralondo came out of the goal and Damian Gaspard tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ciro Gaizko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Nereo Ralondo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Clemente Lauren kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. A collision led to Merengue getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Tobias Peruxu hit a great ball. In the 37th minute, Baltasar Dolcet got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Santos Rafe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Wilfredo Checa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santos Rafe in the 43rd minute of play. Nereo Ralondo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ciro Gaizko in the 45th minute of the match. After 46 played minutes Merengue got a freekick which was hit by Benicio Estefan. Ciro Gaizko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Damian Gaspard made a kick off. Wilfredo Checa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Santos Rafe, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. In the 58th minute of the match Tobias Peruxu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Wilfredo Checa showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 59 minutes into the match, Alvariño AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Santos Rafe came free, but Wilfredo Checa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Alvariño AFC's Ildefonso Lalla got a free kick in the 60th minute. Baltasar Dolcet kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Nereo Ralondo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damian Gaspard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 70th minute Damian Gaspard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nereo Ralondo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 74th minute, Ciro Gaizko got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alvariño AFC's Wilfredo Checa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santos Rafe in the 77th minute of play. In the 81st minute, Benicio Estefan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Baltasar Dolcet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Wilfredo Checa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Baltasar Dolcet recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the Alvariño AFC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Merengue.
