The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Pirámide FC's Javier Rolado got a free kick in the 3rd minute. In the 6th minute, one of Pirámide FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Pirámide FC. The referee gave Habana Comunicaciones Clú a penalty, 8 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Andres Oro, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Pirámide FC's Jonas Cerilo. 0-1. Leonel Bide sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to Habana Comunicaciones Clú getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Eustaquio Ramos hit a great ball. If Natalio Herensuge had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 26th match minute, Habana Comunicaciones Clú was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eustaquio Ramos to maneuver through the defense. Natalio Herensuge scored 0-2 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonas Cerilo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jonas Cerilo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bonifacio Ado in the 32nd minute of play. Leonel Bide in the 35thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Zeledon Bela, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Javier Rolado managed to get in a good position for a shot. Natalio Herensuge made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 54thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Jonas Cerilo would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. 57 minutes into the match, Habana Comunicaciones Clú's goal looked a bit too open when Leonel Bide came free, but Zeledon Bela reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Natalio Herensuge came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Habana Comunicaciones Clú fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Natalio Herensuge couldn't finish the play. In the 60th minute, Fabricio Toli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 67th minute, Leonel Bide got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Leonel Bide sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jonas Cerilo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Bonifacio Ado showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 77 minute of play. 80 minutes into the game, Braulio Pitin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Leonel Bide blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zeledon Bela having to make a save. After 90 minutes of play, Pirámide FC's Leonel Bide made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Zeledon Bela was left in no man's land by his defense there! Habana Comunicaciones Clú were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Pirámide FC's much stronger midfield.
