But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Teobaldo Tonete couldn't finish the play. Sergio Eguns short, quick shot in the 20thth minute got Jonas Orlanda to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With his leg Jonas Orlanda managed to avoid a goal in the 21stth minute, when Bernasconi AFC's Sergio Egun fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lino Estevez in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonas Orlanda prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lino Estevez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Jonas Orlanda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Changos F.C fans' excitement grew in the 37th match minute when Changos F.C's Teobaldo Tonete looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Ramiro Birila had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lino Estevez to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute Sergio Egun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonas Orlanda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sergio Egun in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonas Orlanda saved Changos F.C from getting behind. Jonas Orlanda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sergio Egun, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. When Bernasconi AFC's Lino Estevez in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The Bernasconi AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. In the 96th minute, Lino Estevez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. There was no doubt that Bernasconi AFC were the better team. Bernasconi AFC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
