The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Estrugamou FC's Elpidio Amato played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacobo Firme in the 4th minute of play. In the 9th match minute, Ñorquín was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonides Danel to maneuver through the defense. In the 10th minute, Fabian Quinteros sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Ñorquín's Horacio Abeijon didn't even have to move. When Benjamin Domingues fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ñorquín's protests and gave Benjamin Domingues a yellow card for diving instead. After a defensive mix-up in Ñorquín's zone, Dalmacio Jaunti stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Horacio Abeijon came out of the goal and Dalmacio Jaunti tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Elpidio Enol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Horacio Abeijon having to interfere. In the 30th match minute, Estrugamou FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silverio Mosen to maneuver through the defense. Dalmacio Jaunti struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Horacio Abeijon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Estrugamou FC. Jacobo Firme sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Genaro Bero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Elpidio Enol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Genaro Bero to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Estrugamou FC booed when Ñorquín was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benjamin Domingues didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Elpidio Enol in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Horacio Abeijon saved Ñorquín from getting behind. Horacio Abeijon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elpidio Enol, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Cecilio Hodei hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. In the 61st minute, Benjamin Domingues hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 63rd minute Elpidio Enol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horacio Abeijon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Estrugamou FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dalmacio Jaunti was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Elpidio Enol's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Horacio Abeijon was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. Ñorquín's Horacio Abeijon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dalmacio Jaunti in the 87th minute of play.
