In the 15th minute Miguel Gaspard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horacio Abeijon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Ñorquín's Raimundo Xabel got a free kick in the 17th minute. After having played for 18 minutes, Miguel Gaspard managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Spinn FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Miguel Gaspard was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 22 minutes into the match, Jacobo Firme notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Spinn FC's Severiano Chus. Severiano Chus was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 26 minutes into the match, Benjamin Koldo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Horacio Abeijon. Ñorquín's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Benjamin Koldo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. If Genaro Bero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Benjamin Koldo got free with Horacio Abeijon in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ñorquín's Genaro Bero pulled a muscle in his leg after 32 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 32 minutes, Mauro Eron mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Spinn FC and the Ñorquín players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 35 played minutes Ñorquín got a freekick which was hit by Benjamin Domingues. In the 40th minute of the match Ñorquín got a corner. Spinn FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Angelo Quico ran over to the corner to take the kick. Miguel Gaspard might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Horacio Abeijon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Miguel Gaspard ran back to his position shaking his head. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Miguel Gaspard stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leonides Danel during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 54th match minute, Ñorquín was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonides Danel to maneuver through the defense. Horacio Abeijon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Gaspard in the 56th minute of play. 60 minutes into the game, Benjamin Domingues was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ñorquín's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Spinn FC the free kick. The supporters of Spinn FC booed when Ñorquín was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benjamin Domingues didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ñorquín's Horacio Abeijon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miguel Gaspard in the 70th minute of play. Horacio Abeijon didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Miguel Gaspard went, in the 72nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Spinn FC's zone, Benjamin Domingues stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Severiano Chus came out of the goal and Benjamin Domingues tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Horacio Abeijon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miguel Gaspard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 91st minute, Miguel Gaspard ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Horacio Abeijon was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. Spinn FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 95th minute, when Jacobo Firme scored to the left of an out of position Severiano Chus, making the score, 4-2. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Spinn FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Ñorquín had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
