The referee ignored C.A River Plate's protests and gave Omar Hats a yellow card for diving instead. Domingo Santio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anier Pietro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rogelio Boniel in the 97th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Niceto Tibalt prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match was over WAITING FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than C.A River Plate throughout the match.
