Spectators: 7246 (Terracing: 5436, Seating: 1666, VIP seats: 144) Lonquimay's Marian Tăcutu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Marian Tăcutu came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Lonquimay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marian Tăcutu couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nicanor Elazar during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 11 played minutes Lonquimay got a freekick which was hit by Nicanor Elazar. After having played for 12 minutes, Evelio Ospetsu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alegría Polo Team's supporters crossed their fingers, but Evelio Ospetsu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 16 played minutes, Alegría Polo Team's Teodosio Ganix shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Lino Cordarell came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Alegría Polo Team reached it. Ruben Vincent got a fine position in front of goal ttaking advantage of the opportunity to rumble in 1-0 in the right cross in the 21st match minute before Lino Cordarell had time to react. Lino Cordarell was a little too slow when Evelio Ospetsu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 26th minute. The score was now 2-0. Ruben Vincent received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Lino Cordarell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Alegría Polo Team's zone, Marian Tăcutu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Braulio Asur came out of the goal and Marian Tăcutu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 37th minute, Guillermo Amaya got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Evelio Ospetsu struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Lino Cordarell didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alegría Polo Team. Evelio Ospetsu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Alegría Polo Team's Ruben Vincent was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 49th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Evelio Ospetsu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 55 minutes, Guillermo Amaya managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lonquimay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Guillermo Amaya was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Marian Tăcutu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Haroldo Barea hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Guillermo Amaya recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Guillermo Amaya got free with Braulio Asur in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lonquimay's Marian Tăcutu got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Braulio Asur made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guillermo Amaya in the 71st minute of play. The audience was convinced that Evelio Ospetsu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lino Cordarell was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. Lino Cordarell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evelio Ospetsu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ruben Vincent in the 76th minute of play forced Lonquimay's goalkeeper Lino Cordarell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guillermo Amaya recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 80 minutes into the match, Alegría Polo Team's Ruben Vincent sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lino Cordarell narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Lino Cordarell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ruben Vincent, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Guillermo Amaya managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lonquimay's supporters rose to their feet, but Guillermo Amaya was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Braulio Asur breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Guillermo Amaya might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Braulio Asur. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Guillermo Amaya ran back to his position shaking his head. Marian Tăcutu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Braulio Asur tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 90 minutes, Nicanor Elazar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lonquimay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicanor Elazar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 91 minutes into the match, Guillermo Amaya dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Braulio Asur, 3-1. Lino Cordarell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ruben Vincent in the 96th minute of play. Evelio Ospetsu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lino Cordarell having to interfere. When the referee blew the final whistle, Alegría Polo Team could leave the field as winners, despite Lonquimay having more of the ball for most of the match.
