But to his dismay, Paulino Tab quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 12th minute Ciro Unax shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Godfredo Oriol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 13th minute, Martin Iliana ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Godfredo Oriol was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Dionisio Isadore showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Maldonado, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. In the 23rd minute Martin Iliana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Godfredo Oriol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Sotelo fans' excitement grew in the 27th match minute when Sotelo's Martin Iliana looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The supporters of Sotelo booed when Centro Juventud Antoniana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albino Tipi didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Martin Iliana in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Godfredo Oriol saved Centro Juventud Antoniana from getting behind. Ciro Unax succeeded in the game's 39th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martin Iliana in the 44th minute of play forced Centro Juventud Antoniana's goalkeeper Godfredo Oriol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Nicasio Baleren came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Centro Juventud Antoniana fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nicasio Baleren couldn't finish the play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Martin Iliana in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Godfredo Oriol prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Martin Iliana's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Godfredo Oriol was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. Martin Iliana struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Godfredo Oriol didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sotelo. Ciro Unax recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 93 minutes into the game, one of Centro Juventud Antoniana:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Ricardo Dei placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Godfredo Oriol made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ciro Unax in the 97th minute. When the match was over Sotelo could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Centro Juventud Antoniana throughout the match.
