After having played for 11 minutes, Haroldo Barea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alegría Polo Team's supporters crossed their fingers, but Haroldo Barea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lino Cordarell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ruben Vincent in the 14th minute of play. Evelio Ospetsu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lino Cordarell having to interfere. Lino Cordarell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ruben Vincent, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lonquimay's goalkeeper Lino Cordarell, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Evelio Ospetsu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Lino Cordarell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 28 minutes into the match, Evelio Ospetsu notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Lonquimay's Lino Cordarell. Lino Cordarell was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ruben Vincent fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lino Cordarell having to interfere. Ruben Vincent sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lonquimay's Adan Rami got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 40 minutes, Silvestre Olivar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lonquimay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Silvestre Olivar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Silvestre Olivar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Alegría Polo Team were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Silvestre Olivar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 54 minutes into the game, one of Lonquimay:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Ruben Vincent managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alegría Polo Team's Braulio Asur played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvestre Olivar in the 69th minute of play. The long shot by Teodosio Ganix in the 72nd minute really tested Lino Cordarell's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After having played for 74 minutes, Silvestre Olivar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lonquimay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Silvestre Olivar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 76 minutes into the match, Alegría Polo Team's goal looked a bit too open when Silvestre Olivar came free, but Braulio Asur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tomas Roldan hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. If Guillermo Amaya had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lino Cordarell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evelio Ospetsu in the 84th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guillermo Amaya in the 86th minute of play forced Alegría Polo Team's goalkeeper Braulio Asur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lonquimay's Lino Cordarell proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Lonquimay from getting a goal against them. Ruben Vincent fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lino Cordarell having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Alegría Polo Team's zone, Silvestre Olivar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Braulio Asur came out of the goal and Silvestre Olivar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
