Manantiales's supporters crossed their fingers, but Angelino Gau was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gustavo Estevez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Centro Juventud Antoniana getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Nicasio Baleren hit a great ball. Emilio Torres made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mariano Maldonado in the 22nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Manantiales's zone, Mariano Maldonado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emilio Torres came out of the goal and Mariano Maldonado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Emilio Torres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Justo Cidro in the 28th minute of play. Justo Cidro struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Emilio Torres didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Centro Juventud Antoniana. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

58 minutes into the game, Angelino Gau was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Manantiales's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Centro Juventud Antoniana the free kick. With a little luck, Centro Juventud Antoniana's Godfredo Oriol got control of the ball when Gustavo Estevez tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Centro Juventud Antoniana's Nicasio Baleren got a free kick in the 61st minute. If Gustavo Estevez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nicasio Baleren's late challenge caught a Manantiales's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nicasio Baleren helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Centro Juventud Antoniana's Nicasio Baleren got a free kick in the 68th minute. Godfredo Oriol showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angelino Gau in the 72nd minute of the match. 76 minutes into the match, Manantiales's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Maldonado came free, but Emilio Torres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Mariano Maldonado came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Centro Juventud Antoniana fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mariano Maldonado couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Manantiales getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Isaac Oalo hit a great ball. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind Manantiales's goalkeeper Emilio Torres, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Manantiales's Emilio Torres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Justo Cidro in the 83rd minute of play. After 85 played minutes Angelino Gau rounded Centro Juventud Antoniana's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-2. If Gustavo Estevez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 100 minutes, Isaac Oalo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Manantiales and the Centro Juventud Antoniana players grew even worse after the yellow card. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Manantiales walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
