Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Fausto Ihazintu made the kick off which started today's match. Matheu's Joel Sayveon got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Damaso Franco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hector Hustaz's late challenge caught a Matheu's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hector Hustaz helped the player get up and apologised. Hector Hustaz kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Zapala AFC's Camilo Flores got a free kick in the 9th minute. Joel Sayveon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 13th minute, Dario Colon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Dario Colon came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Matheu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dario Colon couldn't finish the play. In the 19th minute, Hector Hustaz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fausto Ihazintu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Esteban Polo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Damaso Franco came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Matheu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Damaso Franco couldn't finish the play. 36 minutes into the game, Matheu's Damaso Franco nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Esteban Polo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Esteban Polo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Damaso Franco in the 40th minute. Esteban Polo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dario Colon in the 42nd minute of the match. Fausto Ihazintu struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Esteban Polo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Matheu. A collision led to Matheu getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Fausto Ihazintu hit a great ball. When Fausto Ihazintu came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Matheu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fausto Ihazintu couldn't finish the play.

With 55 minutes on the clock, Gervasio Orkatz commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. A collision led to Zapala AFC getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Gervasio Orkatz hit a great ball. Damaso Franco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Esteban Polo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonathan Lordi in the 66th minute of the match. Esteban Polo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fausto Ihazintu, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Esteban Polo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damaso Franco in the 68th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Zapala AFC's zone, Joel Sayveon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Esteban Polo came out of the goal and Joel Sayveon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Fausto Ihazintu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 85th match minute, Matheu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dario Colon to maneuver through the defense. Julian Bibiano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teo Bitxintxo having to interfere. Fausto Ihazintu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Damaso Franco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee ended the match the Matheu players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
