But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Humberto Roldan couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Alhuampa's zone, Herminio Cesario stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Celedonio Firme came out of the goal and Herminio Cesario tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 16th minute Donato Argina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nunez Vincent saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Donato Argina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nunez Vincent having to interfere. In the 22nd match minute, Changos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fidel Millano to maneuver through the defense. After 25 played minutes Alhuampa got a freekick which was hit by Amadeo Gagriel. Nunez Vincent made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donato Argina in the 29th minute of play. Herminio Cesario could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Celedonio Firme made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Herminio Cesario managed to get in a good position for a shot. Changos 's supporters rose to their feet, but Herminio Cesario was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Celedonio Firme breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Humberto Roldan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. Humberto Roldan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 83rd minute, Herminio Cesario made a precise shot to the right of Celedonio Firme. Alhuampa's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. After some careless play in the Alhuampa defense, Humberto Roldan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Celedonio Firme. The Alhuampa fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Celedonio Firme should have stopped the shot. Humberto Roldan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celedonio Firme having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Alhuampa players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Changos .
