Providencia AFC's Hernan Checa got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Borussia Dortmund's goalkeeper Timoteo Rito, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 83rd minute Hernan Checa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Timoteo Rito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Borussia Dortmund's goalkeeper Timoteo Rito, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the match clock showed 87 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Genaro Ticho sped through Borussia Dortmund's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Timoteo Rito. The Providencia AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Providencia AFC had played much better football throughout.
