The audience was convinced that Cláudio Paul's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fernando Jakobe was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. Cláudio Paul scored 0-2 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fernando Jakobe, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Florencio Mercurio fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Falckner's protests and gave Florencio Mercurio a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Changos FC booed when Falckner was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Florencio Mercurio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Florencio Mercurio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonas Donzel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Isidoro Hartz was the one to do the kick off. Changos FC's Cláudio Paul got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 52nd match minute, Falckner was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mauricio Mikelats to maneuver through the defense. In the 53rd minute of the match Venancio Neron shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fernando Jakobe showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A collision led to Falckner getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Flavio Abreu hit a great ball. Changos FC's attack was well implemented in the 56th minute, but when Cláudio Paul was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. Fernando Jakobe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cláudio Paul, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 61 minutes of play, Changos FC's Leo Sandalio made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Falckner's players were relieved. After 69 minutes, Armando Chano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Changos FC and the Falckner players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 68th minute of the game. One of Changos FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Falckner:s goal. Fernando Jakobe made an important save on a dangerous shot by Venancio Neron in the 73rd minute. Gerardo Urdaspal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Fernando Jakobe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cláudio Paul's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fernando Jakobe read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. Fernando Jakobe came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Changos FC's Edelmiro Rencio. But to his dismay, Edelmiro Rencio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. In the 83rd minute, Florencio Mercurio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 84 minutes into the game, Cláudio Paul cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-5. Fernando Jakobe was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Gerardo Urdaspal came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Changos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gerardo Urdaspal couldn't finish the play. In the 88th match minute, Falckner was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Flavio Abreu to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cláudio Paul in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fernando Jakobe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 93rd minute, Florencio Mercurio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fernando Jakobe stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cláudio Paul's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. Gerardo Urdaspal scored 1-6 in the 97th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fernando Jakobe, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match was over Changos FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Falckner throughout the match.
