Changos 's Nunez Vincent proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Changos from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Changos 's Cirilo Raphael got a free kick in the 5th minute. Hernan Checa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nunez Vincent having to interfere. Changos 's Nunez Vincent proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Changos from getting a goal against them. Angelo Sayveon kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Baltasar Iraitz came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Changos 's Humberto Roldan. But to his dismay, Humberto Roldan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Hernan Checa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hernan Checa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nunez Vincent having to interfere. After 30 minutes, Edgardo Iratxo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Providencia AFC and the Changos players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Changos booed when Providencia AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgardo Iratxo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hernan Checa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hernan Checa succeeded in the game's 40th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. Fidel Millano charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fidel Millano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 44 played minutes Changos got a freekick which was hit by Fidel Millano. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Benito Oriol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nunez Vincent took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hernan Checa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nunez Vincent came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Providencia AFC's Benito Oriol. But to his dismay, Benito Oriol quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Hernan Checa struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Nunez Vincent didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Providencia AFC. Hernan Checa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nunez Vincent having to interfere. Hernan Checa struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Nunez Vincent didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Providencia AFC. If Benito Oriol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Providencia AFC's Baltasar Iraitz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Humberto Roldan in the 73rd minute of play. Hernan Checa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Benito Oriol came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Providencia AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benito Oriol couldn't finish the play. When Angelo Sayveon fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Changos 's protests and gave Angelo Sayveon a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Providencia AFC booed when Changos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angelo Sayveon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Baltasar Iraitz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Humberto Roldan, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Nunez Vincent made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hernan Checa in the 90th minute of play. If Fidel Millano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Changos 's Fidel Millano suffered a sore foot after 95 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Providencia AFC's Edgardo Iratxo got his second yellow card of the match in the 96th minute. The referee ordered Edgardo Iratxo off the ground. Edgardo Iratxo kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. There was no doubt that Providencia AFC were the better team. Providencia AFC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
