Python FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Iker Libertad was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Celedonio Firme breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Paulino Idacio's late challenge caught a Python FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paulino Idacio helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in Alhuampa fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 23rd minute. Penalty! Celedonio Firme had in the 25thth minute some difficulties stopping Gilberto Silva's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 27 minutes into the game, Pablo Paio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Alhuampa's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Python FC the free kick. The supporters of Python FC booed when Alhuampa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pablo Paio didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 31st minute Donato Argina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felipe Eyague saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alhuampa's Donato Argina got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 40th minute, Blas Orlo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Donato Argina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 46th match minute, Python FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cayetano Amato to maneuver through the defense. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Donato Argina got free with Felipe Eyague in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Eliseo Franco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Blas Orlo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Celedonio Firme tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
