In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Caseros AFC's goalkeeper Ezequiel Pelagius, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jimeno Jacob recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Hernan Ponciano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ceferino Firman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Marcos Urdaspal made a huge save. After 24 played minutes LA CANDELARIA got a freekick which was hit by Federico Eztebe. Marcos Urdaspal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jimeno Jacob, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 33 minutes, Federico Eztebe managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. LA CANDELARIA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Federico Eztebe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Freddy Dolfo hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. After 38 minutes, Geronimo Tabb mouthed his way into the referee's book. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jimeno Jacob to make the kick off. After 52 minutes of play LA CANDELARIA's Fabricio Mundo was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Fabricio Mundo kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. After having played for 55 minutes, Federico Eztebe managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. LA CANDELARIA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Federico Eztebe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Federico Eztebe managed to get in a good position for a shot. LA CANDELARIA's supporters rose to their feet, but Federico Eztebe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ezequiel Pelagius breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Valentin Aimar in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ezequiel Pelagius saved Caseros AFC from getting behind. 76 minutes into the match, Caseros AFC's goalkeeper Ezequiel Pelagius had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Valentin Aimar. A collision led to Caseros AFC getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Jimeno Jacob hit a great ball. Valentin Aimar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Ezequiel Pelagius tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hernan Ponciano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ezequiel Pelagius read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. Valentin Aimar's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 94thth minute, Ezequiel Pelagius skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 95th minute of the match, Federico Eztebe got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ezequiel Pelagius was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Caseros AFC's Ezequiel Pelagius played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hernan Ponciano in the 96th minute of play. The Caseros AFC support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
