The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Anier Noe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Anier Noe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mauricio Policarpio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Primitivo Edorta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Mauricio Policarpio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Siro Norino hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Aquilino Rexino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amador Teyo having to interfere. After 20 minutes of play, Gallinas's Mauricio Policarpio made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Primitivo Edorta was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Victorino Tulio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Anier Noe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Amador Teyo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Federico Luix in the 30th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Salvador Breogan during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 36 played minutes Tobatirenda AFC got a freekick which was hit by Salvador Breogan. A collision led to Tobatirenda AFC getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Siro Norino hit a great ball. In the 43rd minute, Dalmacio Ignado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Genaro Xacintu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Honorio Guillelme recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Federico Luix was the one to do the kick off. Mauricio Policarpio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tobatirenda AFC's Primitivo Edorta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Honorio Guillelme in the 55th minute of play. 56 minutes into the match, Dalmacio Ignado had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Primitivo Edorta. Tobatirenda AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dalmacio Ignado was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. If Mauricio Policarpio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Honorio Guillelme managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gallinas's supporters rose to their feet, but Honorio Guillelme was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Primitivo Edorta breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Genaro Xacintu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Primitivo Edorta read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. After 68 played minutes Tobatirenda AFC got a freekick which was hit by Siro Norino. A collision led to Tobatirenda AFC getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Aquilino Rexino hit a great ball. If Genaro Xacintu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Mauricio Policarpio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gallinas's Raul Santiago got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 78th minute, Siro Norino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gallinas's Raul Santiago pulled a muscle in his back after 79 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Godofredo Mendiko's late challenge caught a Gallinas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Godofredo Mendiko helped the player get up and apologised. Gallinas's Arsenio Amaya was substituted for Raul Santiago. In the 81st minute, Godofredo Mendiko hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Tobatirenda AFC's zone, Honorio Guillelme stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Primitivo Edorta came out of the goal and Honorio Guillelme tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mauricio Policarpio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Arsenio Amaya had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Genaro Xacintu came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Gallinas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Genaro Xacintu couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Paulo Odon during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Gallinas booed when Tobatirenda AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Odon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gallinas's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
