Honorio Guillelme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celestino Martxot having to interfere. Anier Noe blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Celestino Martxot having to make a save. Celestino Martxot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mauricio Policarpio, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mauricio Policarpio to make the kick off. Celestino Martxot was left in no man's land by his defense there! It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Gallinas had played much better football throughout.
